Synopsis: Painting Churches, by Tina Howe, is a fragile and layered story in the Absurdist tradition, that explores the shifting tides of relationships between parents and their adult children, while examining memory loss and the passage of time. It takes place in the living room of a classic Boston brownstone in the mid-80s.
